On the 23rd of January 2017, Lucasfilm announced the title of the next instalment of Star Wars, The Last Jedi. They done so through the use of social media and their official website, reaching out to its online audience about the upcoming film.
Despite speculation and expectations, there isn’t much else we’ve heard about the film, coming to our cinemas in December 2017.
Until today 29th of March 2017, following the CinemaCon event that happened overnight (if you live here in the United Kingdom). There was a lot of speculation that the convention would in fact unveil the trailer for the upcoming film, expected in April, however this wasn’t the case. The event instead showcased some exclusive first-seen footage of the film amongst a collaboration of Disney’s upcoming films. The footage only lasted a few seconds but is said to have shown a major part of the film, I won’t divulge. The CinemaCon also reveal, or more so, confirmed the cast of The Last Jedi.
The trailer is now set to be released during the Star Wars Celebration in April, more specifically the Star Wars: The Last Jedi panel, taking place on April the 14th.
Other than that there has yet to be any marketing in terms of the upcoming film, but sit tight for the trailer release and the all-important December 15th film release!
